Criminals caught twice by crime fighters

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend
Community crime fighters in Amanzimtoti are frustrated that they had to arrest the same gang twice because they were allegedly deported without facing trial or serving sentence the first time round.

George Snodey of the Amanzimtoti Community Crime Prevention Organisation(CCPO) said they could not believe their eyes when a group of housebreakers they were arresting turned out to be the same group of Tanzanian foreign nationals they had arrested a few months previously."The CCPO recieved a tip-off that a group of four 'suspicious men' had been spotted in a white Nissan Almera. The police and the CCPO had already been looking for white Almera which had been linked to several crimes in the area. We were informed that the car had been spotted with two occupants. We patrolled the area and a security company we employed started looking for two other suspects on foot, and that,s when Wayne Strickland of the CCPO bumped into them", explained Snodey.

Recently an Overport couple responded to a pamphelt that promised the very beat in home improvements. Yacoob and Feroza Goolam of Sheringham Road thought their dream home would become a reality. The company advertising the home improvements promised that no job was too big to too small. The pamphlet also showed the tasks the company could perform from plumbing to painting. Two weeks into the home improvement, the couple regretted their actions.

"The home improvement team should have bee called the 'home wrecking team'. They took inaccurate measurements for my built -in cupbooards. They lost parts , rubbers and key fittings to the plumbing accessories. They cut my stable door short of the door frame. All these things had to be replaced at an additional cost, "said Goolam.
